Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype queen. Primary type locality: Algeria: Algiers (no further data). Primary type depository: unknown. Type notes: 1) According to Horn & Kahle, 1935: 78, Foerster’s formicid types are in MNHU, but Seifert & Schultz, 2009b: 271, state that “According to our own search in German collections type material of Förster is completely destroyed”. 2) However, perhaps specimens remain in MNHN as Foerster (Foerster, 1850b: 486) thanks “Leon Fairmaire in Paris” for the specimens.
