Type notes: 1) According to Forel, 1895b: 107, the type locality is Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, but there seems to be no evidence to support this. 2) According to Zimsen, 1964: 426, 1 worker syntype in BMNH, 3 worker syntypes in ZMUK.
